FOSSOMBRONE, GOLA DEL FURLO, URBINO, 60 km
Fossombrone is a town full of history: it was a Roman city, placed along the “Via
Flaminia”. route. Very close, there is the Furlo’s State Nature Reserve, protecting one of
the most suggestive natural environment in the region. When you reach Urbino
(UNESCO World Heritage Site), you can really feel the Reinassance atmosphere, thanks
to the city centre and the beautiful Ducal Palace, venue of Marche’s National Gallery.

EREMO DI FONTE AVELLANA, FRONTONE, PERGOLA, 40 km
The Fonte Avellana monastery dates back to the end of the X century and is famous for
being mentioned in Dante’s Divine Comedy. At short distance, Frontone castle awaits
you with its local delicacies and on the way back to Corinaldo you should not miss to
see the group of gilded bronzes dating back to the Roman era in Pergola’s museum.

In the area of the ancient Sentinum took place the famous “Battaglia delle Nazioni” that
marked the supremacy of Romans over Gauls: the tale of this ancient Roman town is
told in Sassoferrato by the Archeological Park of Sentinum and the Civic Museum.
Genga offers many things to see: the castle, a beautiful Romanesque abbey, a
neoclassical small temple and of course the evocative Frasassi caves. Moving to
Fabriano, it is possible to visit the beautiful “Museo della Carta e della Filigrana” that
offers guided tours in English and other foreign languages.

JESI, STAFFOLO, CUPRAMONTANA, 55 km
Birthplace of the Emperor Federico II, Jesi has a beautiful wall belt, the Palazzo della
Signoria built in the XV century by Francesco di Giorgio Martini and the Civic Art
Gallery with paintings by Lorenzo Lotto. In the area of production of the famous
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, you will find two museums about wine: the “Museo
dell’Arte del Vino”
